@tante that, but also surrounded by community and people who have always loved and cared for each other. Feels like my entire experience as an immigrant here: the best and worst of times. The best is really amazing and the worst is really rock bottom.

There is a coup, and I also know I can count on my circle of family and friends.
There has been an extended turn towards more friends and family meetings. In fact, I’m meeting the extended networks of friends and friends and seeing that we are not alone, and against this shit.
And we will protect each other.
Sidenote: I’ve seen people connecting their individual their friends groups from different states online during the lockdown, and then meet in person years later.
I’ll never knock those little discord gamer nerds again.
