   My teaching studio upgrade is complete! New X32 mixer, stereo headphone monitors for everyone, drums in stereo, room/audience mic, new Mainstage rig to replace one of the old keyboards which was dying, and it's all fed by a permanent split snake to make playing out easy. Took the opportunity to clean up all the cables and reorganize everything. I even added some mood lighting! It's version 2.0 and I'm so excited to share it with the students this week.

     Music and community are two things that dispel despair, and I'm starting to recognize that I provide both. Seeing the kids come in grouchy and stressed, and leave smiling and happy after rocking out together, brings me so much joy.

     I've still been working on my own music on the background but I've really been focusing on the kids lately for this reason. It's still putting music out in the world, it's just a different way.
