"FSF's criteria for free machine learning applications" were really committed in user freedom rather than urgency. Zoë Kooyman and Krzysztof Siewicz really delivered clarity and calmness. I argue all people who are interested, to check and contribute to @fsf actions in ML.
Last talk before I left and took my way to the airport was "Free software teaching materials" by Miriam Bastian which sparked great ideas on how to make free software accessible to schools and our communities. #FOSSDEM off 2/2

My #fosdem Sunday started with "AI" and EU policy. The speakers presented #OSAID as a urgent necessity we must accept.
I manged to squeeze two observations in the discussion:
1) We are now 60 years since someone claimed that "AI is close to interfere with all human activity in 2 years"
2) #OSAID didn't stopped META from openwashing AI. On the contrary it helped them. META claims that it is opensource because of the vague terms in OSAID. Free/Non Free is binary - there isn't a middle ground (1/2)
