     @IAMAL_PHARIUS Obviously there's something he wants to accomplish and he's using tariffs as leverage.
     
     Thing is, every threat and then not doing it becomes less effective. At some point people won't believe it, same way we stopped believing he would do anything back in 2017. What then?

     Trump was talking about getting rid of the income tax and funding the federal government through tariffs, which would be a net positive longterm even if it causes significant ripple effects for the global economy.
