@inquiline Yeah…um…no. There is no way I would sign up on that site for anything. Instagram link?! No clear privacy policy?! NO sign they are taking protecting the data seriously. Hell, that could just be a big "sign up so the nazis know who you are” site, the way it is playing fast-and-loose with anonymity.

You ditch the sign up, you track nothing, you host it outside of the US, and you post all updates to there and only there and hope people show up. You don't collect email groups, you don't have a fucking instagram link, you sure as hell do not collect names and phone numbers.
You do the digital equivalent of throwing flyers out in the town square and you don't organize through a big flashy slickly produced website.

I have seen many, many calls for General Strikes fail and as amateur history person I've only ever heard of two kinds that ever really happened:
1) widespread impromptu response to an event that suddenly angers a wide range of people in a society (i.e. not this)
2) long-time-scale coordination by a trusted and respectable organization with resources, like a major union coalition (i.e. not this)
