why are eggs considered vegetarian? i can understand milk and cheese being vegetarian but not eggs.

@Mondobizarrro unfertilized eggs are vegetarian. Hindu brahmins look down on eating all eggs though.

@Mondobizarrro both eggs and milk involve death in modern factory farming. male chicks are killed and so are male calves.

@georgia yeah but the production of either of those things dosnt require the deaths of those, unlike the consumption of meat? ethically speaking its a moot point anyways because humans are omnivorous (we can eat most things plant and or animal), and other animals predate on living things for their survival. plants can also feel pain and are alive too. we just dont think about it bc they dont speak to us. people gotta eat at the end of the day. every living thing does what it can to survive.
