   Does #bluesky federate with #mastodon? Asking as a friend moved to Bluesky but idk if we'll be able to interact. I'm staying on Mastodon not Bluesky.

     @s31bz kinda...but it's difficult if you don't know them personally.

     Basically for people on BlueSky to see you, you have to follow @bsky.brid.gy and once it follows you back, your future posts will show up on bluesky via a "mirrored" account.

     You can see people on Bluesky that have followed @ap.brid.gy, interact with their posts and follow them.

     There's also a feature with @bsky.brid.gy that if you DM the bot with a BlueSky username, it will DM that person and ask them to bridge their account. However, Bluesky DMs are off by default so if the person you're requesting doesn't know that, they'll probably never get the DM.😔

     This last issue has been a major frustration for me, personally.
