   Are Western social media platforms like #X, #Facebook, Instagram etc just meaner? Is Chinese social media like #xiaohongshu better? Not really. But I can say one thing for sure: #Mastodon remains my social media.

     @liztai Your experience mirrors my own. This is the only safe space I've found where I'm interacting with other rational humans and not feeling overwhelmed.
