   1. Just finished tracking my fiddle into the new album. I never know if what I play is going to work, but the producers and engineer seemed really happy, so I’ll go with that.
   2. Every night at around 12:30, our new puppy wakes up, shakes herself, tiptoes to the head of the bed, and then gently sniffs and kisses me and the my wife one time each. Then she sighs and lays back down and goes to sleep. It is, perhaps, the most endearing thing I’ve ever seen a dog do.
   3. Just recorded a song about smelt.
