   @joebeone Why do the Dems always find the most useless and out of touch thing to do in times of crisis?

   My theory is that the party operatives think the problem is lack of a powerful lobbyist donor to swing things in their direction, rather than public disillusionment, and they're happy to accumulate more of the latter seeking the former.
