   We warned you all. I told every single person I know who said they weren't planning to vote or were going to vote for Trump that they were personally helping to hurt me personally and every single one of my trans siblings.

   Some told me "both sides are the same"
   Some told me "but Gaza"
   Some told me "but the economy"
   Some told me all sorts of things to justify themselves.

   And everyone said I was overreacting.
   They talk a big game, but it's all bluster.
   You made it through 45 okay, 47 won't be any different.

   And now in one week, we've seen trans kids healthcare care erased. We've seen trans soldiers erased. We've seen trans people's ability to use bathrooms eliminated. We've seen social transitioning trans kids erased.

   Absolutely all the other shit Trump is doing is bad or worse.

   But these fuckers told me to my face that they didn't believe me.
   They told me all the other shit was more important.
   They told me that it wasn't worth the hour of time to go and vote.
   They told me I was overreacting.

   And now the few human rights and the rights of every trans person in the country we had meagerly scraped together over the past 10 years are gone in the swoop of one hateful fucking magic marker.

     Whole lot of people saying “well somebody else screwed up therefor it’s not MY fault” just a little too loud. Like if they yell at enough other people, maybe they’ll finally convince themselves.

     yeah and those of us who didn't want an unchecked Trump kept trying to explain that scapegoating people was hurting down ballot races.

     the Democratic Party chose to campaign by spitting hate at basically everyone who tried to speak about what they actually need.
     and of course motivated those voters to stay home.

     Why are you blaming individual voters and not the politicians who treated their constituents like dirt for FOUR YEARS?
