Now imagine trying to figure that out on a public cloud provider, where you barely have access to the control nodes. 😔

True (true@peoplemaking.games)'s status on Thursday, 30-Jan-2025 04:45:30 JST True Okay, I have spent like two weeks banging my head against some problems with Kubernetes stuff.
I marched through error after error, troubleshooting as I went.
I learned way too much about OSI Layer 2 ARP announcements, BGP, and networking in general.
No need to sacrifice anything to the eldritch networking powers, except my time and sanity...
But the final issue was TLS pass-thru on my k8s Cilium ingress.
It was a pain that took me a whole *DAY* to figure out why my Kibana service returned an empty response--the ingress was sending HTTP to an HTTPS only endpoint, eugh.I have learned so much just by having a #HomeLab and doing things for real.
This is a #Proxmox cluster running Talos Linux and provisioned with #OpenToFu and #Ansible and it's nice when it all works. But it's also like a puzzle that stays difficult the whole time.
