     @jonossaseuraava no it doesn't. It uses canvas for conversion so only bitmap (i.e. pixel data) is "preserved". It converts to jpeg if browser doesn't support webp conversion

     Cool. Does it preserve metadata? Say location data in exif.
     
     
     I think image compression is good except few exceptions.
