  i dont have guns because theyre dangerous, but a friend of me who's a lot like me, just carries a revolver chicago carry style for ease and reliabily. he said he figures he can use it like a hammer if he misses.

  @db "Chicago carry", is that the same as "socioeconomicly carry" where you stick a non-revolver semi-automatic pistol between your underwear band and your waist without a holster bare naked against your skin so that the limited friction afforded by your boxers (because your pants are decreased in elevation, of course) can hold it in place?   @db I'd call the holosuns cheap Chinese shit, but tbh the same would probably happen to other optics. Plus, the holosuns aren't even that cheap. At least none of the functional parts of the optic are screwed up, just the frame.

  @db I've had reliability problems in the past. I'd accounted for that and specifically chose one with co-witness, but now I only use _closed_ optics with co-witness.

    welp, I function checked my EDC a few minutes ago and the Holosun 507comp was very, very dim. Useless in daylight. Couldn't see it until I went under shade. Brightness up all the way. I blew out the emitter with compressed air, checked again, same deal. I need to clean it with a q-tip I guess. So... I'm buying a Holosun EPS carry model reflex optic. Closed emitter should solve this problem. Too bad the 509T requires a plate and can't co-witness, otherwise I'd get that one. BOO!

  i like the little tnd carved into the optic. the t and d arent quiet visible but i know theyre there.
