I would like to not have violence or vandalism directed toward me because of the brand of car I happen to own. So if we could not do that, that would be great.
Trying to guilt or bully people into massive financial decisions is like the anathema of being a good person, so maybe don't do that.-

"Well I was gonna buy corn from Farmer John, but he uses a fucking Allis-Chalmers to plow his fields instead of an International or even a John Deere. Actually let's go start his corn silos on fire and bleach in his fuel tank, that will show him how strongly I feel about $CURRENT_POLITICAL_ENVIRONMENT" -

You shouldn't buy a Tesla cause they aren't a good investment or the best electric car on the market.
But if the whole Nazi thing is what you need to help you make that decision... that's fine too.

@DroidPort what's better? What can allow me to drive across the country with fast charging?
I just did 3400 miles from Miami to Seattle and there 100% are gaps on multiple interstate highways you cannot make in an EV in the cold (20F in some places in November when I went, closer to 0F now) unless it's a Tesla. -

@DroidPort Once the other manufacturers start shipping their EVs with NACS charging ports (this year?) it will be a lot more viable. The combination of Electrify America, EVGo, Chargepoint, and Blink is not enough to make it to many places.
I am interested in Polestar though, they look great. Lucid if I had the cash to burn. -

@DroidPort yeah Polestar is here, but BYD is banned. I've seen the Hyundais around but I'm still wary of them after their amateur hour battery issues. They look nice otherwise. -

@feld Is Polestar avilable in the US at all?
Telsa was the No.1 seller here last year, but I doubt this dominance will continue in the long term. The major car manufacturers are moving into the space in big ways, and there are many great options without the Elon factor already with already significant sales growth.
