   @GottaLaff @briansullivan Exactly. Put them on the defensive. It might not do anything but knock them off their game briefly, but given how they operate they'll waste time swinging back instead of moving ahead without opposition.

     @GottaLaff There is not much lawful that Democrats (or anybody for that matter) can do. Trump is president, has lackeys, toadies and brown nosers controlling congress and the Supreme Court and will soon have all cabinet positions and critical civil service totally submissive.

     Short of armed rebellion what do you suggest?

     @briansullivan I'm aware. We moved to Canada because I anticipated this.

     What do I suggest? Well, they could sound more than mildly annoyed when they go on TV. They could do what Maddow, Marc Elias, and others do and offer suggestions on what WE can do, how to cope. For starters.

     They could make moves to pass legislation or impeach, knowing it won't work, to make waves on TV.

     At least ACT like it matters, FFS.

     So far it's like watching the country burn down & MOC's say,

     "I think it's simply atrocious that Trump the Arsonist started this fire, many of us may die. So we'll write a letter, strongly worded, then go on TV and express politcalspeak irritation, understate the situation, & insist we're outraged. Now let's go confirm his next nom."
