      @epilanthanomai Alright. But for the time being *already issued* passports aren't being impacted. I have an X marker passport and worry about some bonehead trying to declare them invalid in a way I'll only discover at a border crossing. But that hasn't happened yet.

      @roadriverrail Yes, that's my understanding as well. Invalidating existing documents is much more difficult, both legally and bureaucratically. All of the info I've found so far indicates that the regime isn't currently threatening to invalidate current, unexpired passports with X gender marker.

      @epilanthanomai That's my understanding. I think my outside worry is that someone somewhere will attempt to redefine some "document standard" that says all well-formed documents have an M or an F, and issuing guidance that X documents are either improper and/or may be seized as potentially counterfeit. But X markers themselves are the result of a lawsuit that mus have some kind of binding result, so they're likely not in a hurry on that.
