It seems anytime China does something better, someone claims it may be a national security concern, and implies that perhaps the technology should be blocked.
Of course, AI, is going to monitory you. That is how AI learns. It is how Google Gemini and Microsoft's Copilot and Open AI, learns, too. Now, suddenly out of nowhere, DeepSeek doing the same thing, only better, is a "privacy" and "security" concern.
Translation: They cannot compete in a free, open market, so we will block the competition. 🙄

Some of it is political.
Many people, myself included, dislike China's government. Until recently, China (along with Russia) were the only major nations trying to claim everyone's territory. The democratically, independent nation of Taiwan, for example, along with every other nation on its boarders. There is also the fact that China has little or not respect for international copyright laws. And, of course, there is the complete lack of freedom concerning news, information, and speech.
But I refuse to believe a lot of it has to do with racism. I don't know anyone who dislikes the people.
