   Post 1/3 @pluralistic Not much movement on the mastodon display/hide thread issues linked further in the thread.

   But here is a proposal: create a second mastodon account where you post the thread.

   Then boost the head of the thread with your main account.

   In that case your followers will get just the head of the thread in their feeds.

     @steinarb The posts are all CC BY and I encourage you to create that account! I'm minus several hours per day, every day, and Mastodon has an extremely labor-intensive UI for what I do already, so I can't do this without doing less parenting, less writing, less household management, less physiotherapy for my chronic illness, or less activism. Not a trade I feel good about making, but I'd be delighted if you took it up.
