     @ianb @FredricT Oh, we'll see declining global population much earlier, because it won't happen because of delcining birth rates but because of shocks to the global food supply because auf climate change. Although it is nice, where the UK is at now given where they were, it is much too late and the positive feedbacks inside the climate system will do the rest.. that's the truth, but everybody loves to tell a story of hope instead.

     @FredricT Yep! Hence work to do. But remember that population growth has peaked, and (assuming no changes) we’re due to start to see a declining global population in the 2070s/80s.
