   I'll write this one in English for reasons I hope will become apparent.

   We got #Scots into the Mastodon code. This is great for our language and its speakers.

   I choose and want to write in Scots, however I speak with people who use screen readers, and they wind up unfollowing me because Scots through an English language reader can be bad.

   There is not yet a Scots text to speech reader. For now reader users can filter out Scots tagged text, and not unfollow altogether.

     I'll work out how to set my posts to be default tagged to #Scots, as I default post in Scots. That, hopefully will allow you to follow me and switch off my Scots tweets. I will switch the tags to English when I post in English. And, hopefully down the line, to announce we have a screen reader that works on Scots text! (A long term and work intensive job that I know how to implement, but don't have the funding to do yet.)
