     It's a function of the number of hosts, and time. When it's targetted at a particular variant, at first it's nearly if not as good as the tetanus ones. But if you're taking a KP.2 vaccine today...it still helps reduce your chance of death but you're, say, almost certainly still getting infected (KP.2 hasn't been dominant here in...awhile)

     b) insufficient because of the mutations around its adaptations
     there is a delay too but that's less of a problem
