      THE SITUATIONSHIP
While browsing the archive for material of the era, I was inspired by the relatively subversive pre-code portrayals of women's sexuality, and wanted to overlay that with a contemporary romantic construct. You may have noticed Clara Bow’s reemergence into the cultural lexicon last year upon being invoked on the latest album from pop titan Taylor Swift. Bow famously inspired the origins of the term "It Girl", reaching archetypal status for her modern audaciousness and authenticity. This short mainly features her role from 1929's The Wild Party, also known as Stella's Merits, showcasing her typically quirky and bold screen presence.works used:The Wild Party, 1929 Dangerous Curves, 1929 Carlena Diamond: Harpist Supreme, 1929 Springtime (audio), 1929 Today and Yesterday 1929 Newsreel Thanks to the judges for their recognition!! Honored to be included amongst the other wonderful winners and everyone who participated <3
