     @SnowshadowII @GottaLaff Nazis have basically two approaches to dealing with people they don't like, enslavement and death. Often times, the enslavement is meant to lead to the death. These MAGATS are not doing a good job convincing me they're not Nazis.

     @GottaLaff @SnowshadowII That said, they're not the only guilty party and the Democrats have gotten far too comfortable with for profit prisons, use of prison labor and the perverse incentives it creates, such as the Cash for Kids scandal. Biden's pardoning of those involved is one of the most execrable thing he did using the powers of his office (aside from being the chief backer of a genocide and political minimization of Covid).

     I'd also point out that California is currently relying on thousands of prisoners to fight its fires, who are likely making less than $20 a day doing backbreaking, dangerous work in the hills of California. You can't even make the claim that you're providing occupational training with the aim of helping them find work after their sentences are served, because they're barred by California law from becoming firefighters.

     @SnowshadowII @GottaLaff No, make no mistake, the Democrats have been wrong on this issue for generations and if they ever want to have a snowball's chance in hell of bringing this country back toward democratic liberal norms, it must be on the basis of acknowledging universal human rights and dignity and non-exploitation. Neoliberalism has FAILED. Democrats need to be the opposition and for that, they need to clean their fucking house.

     @SnowshadowII @GottaLaff Right now, the GOP are looking an awful lot like outright Nazis, but to many, the Democrats do not look all that much better. When you have to sell the Democrats as "harm minimization" you are going to lose a lot of people at the polls, which they did. The Democrats alienated the left who actually care about shit like this and they didn't show up to vote.

     @SnowshadowII @GottaLaff I'm against slave prison labor, whoever is advocating/exploiting it and plenty of Democratic controlled states are carceral states filled with profit motives. I see a lot of liberals wagging their fingers at the GOP for shit they do themselves and that is pure hypocrisy. Stop being hypocrits and be a party of actual values that people who vote on values can actually feel good about voting for, because this lesser of two evils shit is getting tiresome.
