   For those in the UK and especially Ireland and southern Scotland: take care and stay safe during Storm Éowyn. The majority of schools in Scotland seem to have been shut as well as quite a number of businesses saying that they are not going to open today. No need to put yourself at risk over anything trivial, but to those who must go out over duty and care then please stay safe and avoid unnecessary risks.

     @trebach I remember that one back in 2003, that's when the family were killed in South Uist. My family had a lot of damage (as did everyone in this local area) but I didn't experience it myself as I lived in Dumfries at the time.

     @kevie It might not be the same storm. This one made landfall in North Carolina and then fizzled out when it hit the mountains
