     @mekkaokereke It's wallet voting time. I liked Costco anyway, as I hear they do right by employees, but now they're absolutely getting my business.

     @mekkaokereke This would mean that the largest fund managers voted against the proposal. This is interesting, because that means even the people in charge of a large fraction of the world’s wealth think DEI is a good idea.

     Individuals and employees have zero (rounding error) influence in shareholder votes. The sum of all Costco insiders is something like 0.2%, and that’s likely almost all C-suite.

     If someone wants to call me out as a (fill in blank)-lover, I'm ready with "You say that like it's a bad thing."

     It's like asking the dude in the meeting making *-ist jokes to explain it to me why it's funny.

     Sadly, it's not gonna work if the cowards are driving around in their pickumup trucklettes shouting out the windows.
