   Musk-led "Department of Government Efficiency" will have access to all unclassified US government records.

   Mark my words, it's always the unassuming, irrelevant looking stuff like that.

   The rise of Stalin started when he became the First Secretary of the Communist Party. Initially, the position was what it said on the can. But through access to information this gave him, he took over.

     Throughout the history of the Soviet Union, a position of Premier ("Prime Minister") existed.

     Up until Stalin's tenure as the General Secretary, Premier was the ultimate post in the government. General Secretary position was not seen as important.

     After Stalin, it was either combined with General Secretary, or sidelined,

     As dumb as the name is, with that kind of access to information DOGE can easily become a real power center in the middle of the US government bureaucracy.

     Will Musk become the Great Leader thanks to DOGE? I don't know. I doubt it.

     He's too much of a dumb thirsty edgelord. He'll get bored of the necessary administrative work, and focus on getting as much money out of it as he possibly can.

     But keep this in mind. There will be somebody after Musk on that post. And nobody will be paying any attention to this silly-named, boring part of administration. Until, perhaps, there is no choice but to pay attention.

     @eest9 yeah. I am not saying it's going to happen for sure, nor that it would happen anytime soon (like, this year or something).

     But this "DOGE has access to all government info" did make me sit up in my chair.
