   @katka If it doesn't fail your commit and applies the formatter changes, I'd hate it. I'd be fine with the commit failing so I can manually handle this

     having a formatter run in a pre-commit hook rubs me the wrong way A LOT, am i dumb or does it feel bad to everyone else too?
