   Distracting myself by trying to do a calculation that has open-source code! ...but only in fortran.

   I guess it's time to figure out if I can compile fortran on this nice shiny new laptop? Ick.

     @sundogplanets Some of the radar processing software that I use all the time has Fortran subroutines wrapped in C++ and called from Python.

     @EricFielding Fortran is still the fastest for a lot of things!

     @sundogplanets I think Fortran is still good for computation on regular CPU’s but I don’t think it works for GPU processors.
