   — 20 January 16:32 b-jazz changed `name:en` to `Gulf of America`, stating “This isn’t meant as vandalism...”
   — 17:34 midnightcomm added `alt_nam=Gulf of America`.
   — 17:53 iandees fixed tag (to `alt_name:en_us`), restored `name:en`, and then removed `alt_name:en_us` at 19:52.
   — 03:04 Jules Bertholet added `nat_name:en-US=Gulf of America`.

     @ill_logic @enzet There are plenty of other geographic features that have different names in different countries. I don’t know what OSM does for those cases. For example Gulf of Eilat vs. Gulf of Aqaba.

     Finally, 21 January 03:28 Breakable Dancefloor reverted everything saying “Something isn't renamed just because a president says so”.

     @EricFielding @enzet There are lots of tags to use for such things. Official names in different countries, names in different languages, etc. Looking at the conversation linked from one of the change sets, it seems like they may be going in that direction.
