     I think there were a few Princes and Grand Dukes and so forth involved in the incidents leading up to the February Revolution in Russia,

     @evan Taine tells us in his *The French Revolution*, Volume II, that the Duc d'Orléans paid for a mob formed daily at the Jacobin Club in order to intimidate the proceedings of the National Assembly.
