   @evan Micropayments. Ideally after perusing the content: free to access, but with an unobtrusive way to give a nominal or user-chosen amount just for this content. The money should be prepaid somehow, so I don't need to worry about it.

   I think paying at the end could help drive quality content, instead of clickbait, which only needs to get you in, not be good. For everything, including, e.g., movies: great trailer but meh full movie -> no/low tip.

   Flattr was most of the way there, I think, save for widespread-enough adoption.

     @evan In a way, but “tipping” to me suggests small amounts (say < $10), while I can think of good/long content where I'd give more.
