   Incredible stuff. Training film for an ancient surface-to-air search radar team.

   Featuring:
   - a crew member whose sole job it is to read the azimuth off of a scale that's physically on the base of the antenna
   - reading the contacts off of an oscilloscope
   - telephoning the contacts to a central room be plotted on a physical chart.

     @Hyperlynx Very neat. My grandfather was a TS3 in the US Army during WWII and trained as a radar technician (a highly top secret field in those days). He was in charge of a SCR-584 mobile radar installation that did gun laying and also spotted enemy planes across a number of island hopping campaigns. You can see it in the background of some of the pictures he took when they were retaking the Philippines.
