Earlier this week we were without internet for 24 hours; my word that scared me to realise how much we rely on it. If it were not for my samba share then we would have had nothing to watch, all of the radios in the house are internet connected so had nothing to listen to except podcasts that were already in my catcher. Couldn't look up something that I wanted to find out. I've never taken the step into a smart home, so thankfully nothing functional was affected.

Disclaimer: I have never tried this to see if it works. I should.
