@aetios@sns.minovsky.space I don't even understand the point of using kanji that can written down as single kana. I get that kanji can be convenient so you can write a single kanji instead of multiple kana but if it's just one why not just make everyone write the kana and reduce the character set of your language?

No excuse I've heard of so far in defense of kanji was convincing to me. I think it's just a cultural / national pride thing.
Japanese could simply switch to 100% romaji and it would make everything easier. Change my mind. -
