   How do blind people who have text to speech on their phones use the Alexa app? Every time it says "Alexa," she answers and the screen changes, and I can't actually get much done.

     @Fragglemuppet Struggling. The app itself is also not welcoming, to be honest. The thing that makes me most angry is that they removed everything from https://alexa.amazon.com/. They used to have a neat web interface there.

     @menelion I mean, I did manage to set up a device once or twice with the app, but I'm not sure how I got through it, lol.

     @Fragglemuppet The best thing I can tell you, is that you have to turn off the always listening mode from within the settings of the Alexa app. This will stop it from listening to the screen reader and it should work a little better.
