I'm using the Watch Duty app to track the California fires even down to a granular street by street level. If you stick a pin in the map, it will ding you to let you know of any new fire nearby and if that fire gets bigger. If you tap on the icon for an individual fire, it shows you its exact acreage and level of containment. The map also shows every place where World Central Kitchen has a meal distribution center, and also where to find animal shelters. I find it useful if you know anyone in the area.
