Those doors seemed to be three blocks long and yeah, quite heavy. GrandPa was a shade-tree mechanic, and spent more time trying to keep the doors aligned and supported on the hinges than he did messing with the dang QuadraJet carb.

But those 2 door coupes are a thing of the past because of all the bolstering for side impact, roll-over protection, airbag supports, etc.
