Two privately developed lunar lander missions will launch tomorrow Jan 15 1:11 a.m. EST on a Falcon 9 rocket from KSC.
1. U.S. based Firefly Aerospace's Blue Ghost Mission 1. Will deliver 10 science payloads to the moon for NASA, 45 days after launch.
2. Japan based ispace's Hakuto-R Mission 2. Will deploy a mini rover and other science payloads to the lunar surface, 4-5 months after launch. Mission 1 in Apr 2023 ended with a hard landing.
