  Since this has come up repeatedly in the last few days—no, you do not need to take down your bird feeder because of avian flu. The USDA is not worried about spillover from songbirds. The wild reservoirs are WATERFOWL.

  Starting to wonder if I should stop feeding birds. I already wear gloves and wash my hands well after rinsing the bird bath and I take off my shoes when I enter the house but maybe I should be doing all I can to keep bird flu out of my life.
  I would miss those feathered visitors though!
