   It's nice that they take shows like Friends and re-release them in 1080p and shit if they have the capability, but it is a slap in the face to the fans when they cut and edit it in the process.
   
   My wife notices every missing scene and every missing joke because that show is burned into her brain (it's a sickness)
   
   so now I gotta find the best quality DVD rips because we don't have the DVDs anymore and also physical media is a major inconvenience anyway

     @feld reformatting shows made for 4:3 is always a pain and simply not worth it. You can bet that a lot of the scenes being cut are due to things being shown in the widescreen that would normally get cropped out.

     @raphael there are some really bad scenes of Buffy where they did that. You can see cameras and stuff.
