   Cynicism feels like wisdom. It's not.

   It's the discount store of intellectual positions. The fast-food equivalent of critical thinking. Available without effort, satisfying in the moment, empty in the long run.

     @hpk I think it's probably safe to assume that @Daojoan knows of the philosophical school and is intentionally referring to lower-case cynics instead of upper-case Cynics.

     @Daojoan while I am sympathetic to many of your points, I regard your ascribed "cynical" behaviour as only superficially cynical. It's often a disguise for confirming the status quo.
