   TikTok was banned in the U.S. not because it was a data privacy, disinformation or political concern. If the American government truly cared for that they'd regulate their own networks.

     @ErikUden TikTok wasn't and isn't banned in the US, AFAICS. There is a deadline looming on the 19th of January 2025 but that would "only" cause the app to be removed from app stores.
