Never a dull moment on the social web.
Today, not only did the Mastodon project announce a new organizational structure https://blog.joinmastodon.org/2025/01/the-people-should-own-the-town-square/ , a new non-profit project with high-profile supporters called "Free Our Feeds" aims to replicate some core Bluesky infrastructure to keep it "away from the billionaires". https://www.usermag.co/p/freeourfeeds-a-30m-plan-to-take-back-social-media-from-billionaires
