     @dangillmor @pluralistic Yes, you see too many anti-230 posts on Mastodon, from people who don't understand that without 230, Mastodon instances will all have to close down or be legally eradicated, with admins liable for every post that might appear.

     @not2b @dangillmor @pluralistic Yep, I heard the chatter as well, and sadly it's more realistic now as @ericgoldman describes as part of his year end review post. He predicts CDA Section 230 is closer to extinction and he'll be shocked if it survives beyond this year (See numbers 4 and 3).

     "The climate emergency has been steadily worsening for decades. LA is just the latest place to be on fire, or under water, or under ice, or baking in wet bulb temperatures. Last week in southern California, we were warned to expect gusts of 120mph."

     "They were warned. #ExxonKnew: in the early 1970s, Exxon's own scientists warned them that fossil fuel consumption would kick off climate change so drastic that it would endanger human civilzation. Exxon responded by burying the reports and investing in climate denial."
