   It's weird that a bunch of people that definitely know ActivityPub exists want $30 million to build a second "billionaire-proof" Bluesky, right?

     Like I don't know how you get more billionaire proof than a bunch of little city-states filled with freaky little goblins, many of which are run by people motivated by things other than money

     Maybe the fact that you need $30 million for a spare Bluesky to be viable is a sign that it's not the technology you should be trying to billionaire-proof
