    And what is weird, at least I think so, is when it's over it's very abrupt relief. Like someone reached over and shut off the migraine switch.

    There's residule fogginess after, I try not to drive for a while even after a migraine, but the rest of my symptoms just *boop* off.

      My mother suffers migraines. As painful as mine are, I definitely lean heavier towards the non-pain symptoms than she does. Though she does get nausea strong enough to actually puke.

      Migraines fucking suck. I'll still take a migraine over a toothache though!

      Ah, there's the boop now!
      Thank the gods!

      Left side feels mucky, but the pain and nausea are gone, and huh, that's Sugar Ray playing in there.
      Some lingering "pressure behind my eye", but mild.

      Migraine auras are weird. I don't always get an aura, but I get fkashes of light. It's like someone is taking flash photos just outside my line of sight, and I can see that even if I close my eyes.
      Drives me bonkers, especially when I start getting that a long time before onset.

      @hellomiakoda Oh, I always get those as well! I've always described it kind of like twinkles just at the edge of my peripheral vision, but your description is better. I don't recognise auras though. Although I do experience difficulty focusing on things like text, it just won't be as sharp as it normally can be and the more I try the more unpleasant I'll feel.

      If I manage to quickly find myself an Ibuprofen or equivalent and go to bed when I still have those symptoms but before it escalates to an actual migraine I usually avoid the majority of it. I'll still feel a bit drowsy and worn down for 6-24 hours afterwards though. Can you also dodge the worst of it in any way?

      @seq

      If I get the excedrine in me fast, I can at least shorten it. Though, this is becoming ineffective lately
