     @evan @j12t Meta has opened the floodgates on potential disinformation about vulnerable populations. It’s important that everyone within the realm of mastodon/fediverse is aware of the changes occurring in the Meta ToS and how they’re incompatible with some basic local fedi precepts

     @wendinoakland @j12t that's not how open standards work. Anyone can implement ActivityPub and connect to the social web. They don't need the SWF's permission. Whether your server federates or not is up to you and your community! That's what makes the Fediverse great.

     @evan @j12t Thx. Until there is an irrefutable about face from Meta retracting their free-for-all on verbal abuse and diminishment of others, I can’t use an affiliate platform without myself supporting their horrific stance. It’s just not ok.

     I don’t understand how it’s acceptable for us to now have to battle nazis, because they’re your buds. Understand? Not my problem, not my friends.
