there are a number of these "last chance saves" that we have to pass in order to not end up in a bad sci fi book

Gotcha. Basically Lovercraftian style monsters that don't care and won't bargain.
I think that's where we're headed tbh.

@pepsi_man Nah, that would at least be cool - cold uncaring evil, personified.
It's more likely to be "you can't have clean water because of the 3rd world gangs"

@arm_barbarian the fact that we are seeing these things in public is the key that the situation has become more fraught for the system. In the past they made the decision and would figure out how to stuff it down our throats afterwards.
As I've said before, I think there is going to be an immense amount of resistance, and the amount that will actually get deported will be low, but the mere change to "yes, people are going to be deported" will cause a serious shift in a lot of things.
For example, I saw a video where some mexicans were saying that a walmart near an area that was supposedly targeted for some kind of enforcement was empty. I don't know if that is true, but this is the kind of change I would expect to see.

@sickburnbro It's nearly impossible to believe anything good is going to happen considering the substantial walk-backs and rug pulls over the last couple weeks

@XMediumxFloppax @thefinn @ChadleyDudebro @pepsi_man I deal with male boomers regularly and can sadly report they are not, in fact, dead.

@thefinn @ChadleyDudebro @pepsi_man @sickburnbro Male boomers died like 5 years ago. You're arguing with women in their 60s at this point lol.

@XMediumxFloppax @ChadleyDudebro @pepsi_man @sickburnbro Yeah but they could say that. Instead they just go "Fuck you buddy" That's the problem.

@XMediumxFloppax @ChadleyDudebro @pepsi_man @sickburnbro I will never understand the attitude of boomers. How can you have no responsibility for the world you leave behind?

@thefinn @ChadleyDudebro @pepsi_man @sickburnbro They believed what they heard on tv and had no internet to counter it is how I see it.

@thefinn @ChadleyDudebro @pepsi_man @sickburnbro US was degen but still normal until Obama's crap really set in. Boomers were still alive in the Bush years. Once they kicked the bucket and diversity filled in for them the entire place literally went to hell overnight like a light switch got flipped. They've spent the last 10 years trying to deny it.

I lay awake at night worrying about which kind of dystopia we're leaving our children.

Just out of curiosity, in terms of age, which demarcation are you using for boomers?
