   Interesting discussion about VPNs and bypassing pornhub blocks on certain states here: https://hachyderm.io/@evacide/113817114100239029

   It has me wondering about the economics of VPN providers. I think the current pricing model likely relies on many customers minimally using them and seeing large numbers of customers suddenly leaving them up and streaming video over them nonstop seems like it will drive up their costs or reduce performance

     @jerry Thing is, I'm pretty sure most users already use them for high bandwidth things like place shifting to avoid video localization related blocking as well as downloading pirated video, so I'm not sure this really changes anything in terms of their bandwidth/resources/user planning.
